I understand she can go back to H4 if(I think only if) she stops working. The question is: does she need to go out of the country to get here H4 status or can she do the status transfer in US while her 485 is pending?

My understanding is that, if her 485 is denied, she would have to leave the country immediately and get her H4 visa outside the country, right?
