Pjiang and other experts:
Urgent help needed. Layoff now with 485 pending less 180 days. Approved I-140 will not be withdrawn ( HR confirm). But H1B will be withdrawn later. Have EAD card, but haven't been used.
1. The middle of this month is the last day. Will land a new job as early as Dec 20. In this case , Can I use H1B transfer after layoff? How much Gap would be allowed for H1 transfer?
2. Can I use EAD to work? What is the best way to keep H1b and I-485 valid( no withdraw for I-140)?
