Baitu, Pjiang and others, do my kid<14 needs to do bio-metrics

We did concurrent in July. Recently, USCIS send us 3 letters for my wife, me and my kids, required us to do Bio-metrics. My understanding is my kid does not need to do biometrics because she is less than 14. Can you give me some suggestions on this matter? If I need to bring my kid to the USCIS local office do bio-metrics on the date indicated in her letter from USCIS?
