The employer can do whatever they want to do. Meanwhile, the same to you.But you should remember to file AC21 when you quit if you believe your current employer would revoke your 140. Once you file AC21, you are safe. Even though USCIS revoke your 140 by mistake, you can still re-activate your 485. Coz you are protected by AC21.
