Name check could be done within ONE year - Updated

Senate just past a law to ask FBI to speed up name check. House is planning to require FBI to finish each name check within one year.

To make this happen, each of us has work to do. We can either email our district representative, call him, or meet her, following the instruction in http://www.legalimmigrant.org/node/26. I found http://www.house.gov/writerep/ is a better place to locate our district representative.

We have seen so many people's name check took 2+ year. This is the opportunity to help ourselves, and our friends who are going to apply green card.

I just called my district representative’s office for making an appointment as soon as possible and their scheduler will call me back. House is going to vote soon.

If this bill is not passed, I will feel bad. But I will regret, because I did what I can.
