I have some questions about transfering H1 visa.
My transferred visa for the new company has been approved (premium processing) and the starting date is 11/5. My questions are:
1. if the personnel of the new company can't finish all the paper works by 11/5 for hiring (most likely), is that going to influence my status since I can't start work.
2. for my current job, do I have to stop working by 11/5 since the new H1 is effective from 11/5.

- Strictly say, you need to work for new employer starting on 11/5, regardless of whether or not the internal paper has been completed. Also you cease working for current employer then.

In practice, you may continue working for current employer alone, or concurrently work for new employer, for a reasonable period. I would assume a few weeks is not considered unreasonable.
