Please help, questions on AP

I submitted my application for AP together with 485 on July 2. I have received receipt for all of them. But the AP is still pending. I have purchased air ticket to go back to China on Dec 1 as my mother is sick. If the AP is still pending when I leave, can I have my hu*****and mail it to me and use it to enter the US? Or I need to get another emergency AP before I leave? Thanks!
