You have two I-797,
A - 1/31/2005 - 1/30/2008
B - 1/31/2008 - 1/30/2011

When you apply an H-1 visa, before 1/30/2008, and use A, you may receive a visa which is good through 1/30/2008.

When you apply an H-1 visa, anttime, and use B, you will receive a visa with normal validation which is usually 3 mo for H.

When you apply an H-1 visa, after 1/30/2008, and use A, you will be declined.

When you enter US with a valid visa (make sure you understand what I meant here)), and use A, your I-94 will be good through 1/30/2008, for B is 1/30/2011.
