H1 Stamp

I came to the US with a J1 visa in 2000 and changed my status to F1 in 2001 and now I have a H1B visa. I want to go back to China and visit my family, what's the chance of me getting a H1 stamp in Shanghai? Or shall I try in CJ? I was subject to the 2-year home country rule of J1 but I have not had problem so far to change status. Thanks for your help!
