A question on the green card.

Hi there:
First,thanks for clicking in.
My girl is going to get her green card very soon. She has wanted me to marry her before she gets her green card so she could file an I485 for me.In that cae, she would not be worried about my status any more. I have yet to get my degree in a year. I have been thinking about marrying her after I get my degree. But she said after she's already got the green card she could not file an I485 directly for me. Then I would have to find a company that can give me an H1-B if I want to work in the states.
Can she file an I485 directly for me if I marry her when she is a already permenent resident? Or i should marry her before she gets her card?
