我這樣理解對嗎?
我是在H1B有效期內遞交H4申請. 遞交申請後馬上辭職我就失去了＂合法身份＂。但是，我現在是被移民局認可＂合法停留＂，直到我的申請有了批複. 等到申請被批準了時，我又有了＂合法身份＂-H4 and new I-94，並追溯至上一個 I-94 卡的失效日開始。所以我沒有任何out of status period.

但我還有一點不確定,老師的博客中提到:
a change of status may not be approved for an alien who failed to maintain the previously accorded status or whose status expired before the application or petition was filed, ...” - 8 C.F.R. 248.1(b)
我不屬於這類,對吧.
