canadian PR

desperate man seeks for help, please help!!
I have canadian PR and I landed in March 2004. after I landed I returned to USA. now due to various reason I want to go to canada. is my PR still valid? If I go there is there any trouble?
any experts on canadian immigration issues, please help anwser my question.
