, When you have interviews with other PIs, do not blame your boss. In contrast, find some good things about your boss to tell the others, e.g. when you came to the lab at the beginning, how he helped you to set up your direction and settled up in the city.
, However, you need to tell them you focused on research, you did not have enough time to communicate with your boss. So there may be some misunderstandings between you and your boss. Of course, if they do not ask you, you do not have to tell them. But I guess most of the future advisors will ask you why you want to leave the present lab.
, Also show them your achievements.
, Since you have some misunderstandings with your boss, tell your potential future advisors do not contact you present boss unless they have a very possitive decision.
, I believe you will be recognized by someone. Good luck!
Some suggestions. You may find a much better place.
