Things to do once a Permanent Resident (PR):

1. You need to send OISS（國際學生學者中心） a copy of the card, if you have not already done so, and we can close your non-immigrant file.
2. I would suggest you do a new I-9 with your department
3. Go to payroll so they can change your tax records to reflect the new PR status.

4. I would also recommend you to go to Social Security Administration to obtain a "clean" copy of your SS card. It would be a copy without the words " only valid with INS authorization . . ." The number remains the same, but the card will only have name and number on it. If your dependents do not have SSN cards get once they have the card they will be eligible.

5. Change of Address: Whenever you change your address in the US you must report the address change within 10 days to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS). This is done with the Form AR-11. You can get Form AR-11 from the USCIS website: www. uscis.gov or you can go online and change your address.

6. There is still travel restrictions on Permanent Residents, you should consult with USCIS or an immigration attorney if you plan on leaving the US more than 6 months and if you are planning to leave more than 1 year you will need additional documents to reenter and to maintain your PR status. If you are absent from the United States for 365 days without prior authorization, you will lose your PR status.
