H-1b 從 A 大學換到 B 大學

Dear friends, I am holding H1B visa (valid until September 2006) working as a postdoc at university A. Recently I got an offer from university B as an Instructor. If B files H1B transfer for me on June 20th and states the start date at B is September 1st. If the receipt is received on July 15th and the INS approves this transfer on October 1st. My questions are: 1. Should I work at B immediately after September 1st? If not, 2. How long can I work at A after October 1st? 3. If I start working at B from September 1st, can I still get paid legally by A for my vacation time (meantime I will get paid by B)? I have accumulated two month vacation time at A. It seems that I can not take the vacation before September 1st due to the heavy work load and the work transfer. I will not ask A to pay me if it is not legal for me to receive any check after September 1st. Thank you very much for your kind help!
