early this month, I received the recommendation letter from DOS and the receipt from INS (Nebraska) almost at the same time, less than 5 days from the date shown on the DOS letter. and INS approved within two weeks. I checked the processing time for J-1 waiver, it take about 1 month for most centers. You should call INS or DOS to find out .
