My status is H-1B. At their first interview, it didn't make any sense for the VO to deny them the visas because the VO did not bother to look at their application materials first. The second time, my father simply put everything in front of the VO and then was asked a few questions before they were told that they were approved of visas. They were exhilarated! Two hours later, they came back to the consulate and took their passports and visa stamps.
