This morning I'm asked to travel with my manager to Canada next month. I told her that might be too risky for me, since I'm still in OPT and my H1B visa will not be validated until November 04. But she insist that meeting is critical, and I'd better figure out a way to get there and come back safe. On top of that, the company will do whatever it takes to support me.
As far as I've heard, that just sounds like Mission Impossible. I'd never heard anyone dare to leave the US during the OPT. I really need to gather more specific and precise information, then I could explain to her the stake. Could someone please advise.
