NC pending so long. What will they check in China?

My NC has been pending for more than two years. I wonder whether they are doing some check in China. After I graduate from the university, it merged with other universities and have a new name. I only got BS degree in China, so no research at school.

Anybody knows if they will check my information at school. If so, it may take some time because of the university merge.
