background: I'm now in my 2nd year H-1, 10/1/2005 - 9/30/2008

If I transfer H-1 today (which is 9/12/2008), do I get new H-1 from 9/12/2007-9/11/2010?
--transfer you get to 9/30/2008
--new apply you get up to 9/11/2010

When a current H-1 transfers to a new employer, the new H-1 validity is not subject to his current H-1 expiration, as assumed by previous post.

Actually the transfered H-1 is regarded as new H-1, which only subject to 6 year restriction, and may be up to 3 years.
