For PJiang: Name correction

Thank you so much for suggestion regarding name correction.
I just called USCIS. The customer service said she's going to send a memo to Nebraska to have it fixed. One new question:
Since I filed 140/485 concurrently in July, my 140 will be pending for at least another 6 months. Now that they asked us to do FP, does that mean they will process our 485 even if 140 pending, or at least to let FBI start background check. I guess this will speed up the process. Once my 140 approved and visa is current, I may not need to wait another one or two year to get GC. Am I right? If not, should I reschedule FP, so that it will have a later expiration date. Thanks for clarification.
