July 2 filer recieved 485,EAD RN. Biometrics question

My 140 is still pending at NSC. Therefore I recieved RN from NSC also. My case shows that not all July 2nd filer cases are transferred to TSC.

Questions. My wife recieved a bometrics notice. What is this? Is it a fingerprint or not? Thanks.
