The same thing happens to my I-140 application as well.

My I-140 was mailed with DHL overnight service on July 26th, and lost the track since then. DHL found it on Aug. 17th and re-delivered to USICS. I got the receipt a couple days ago with the received date on July 26th.

I believe that you can call Fedex to see what happened, and push them to find your lost package. If lucky enough, perhaps USICS will accept your case with postmarked date. Try your luck and it does not hurt anyway.
