YES. In fact, I called NSC two weeks ago, and was told that my NC was still pending. When I called today, the lady told me that NC was cleared. I started the conversation with 'My I-485 application has been pending for almost a year, and there is no online status update. I was wondering what's going on.", and then the lady asked "Do you have a receipt number?", and told me about a RFE for my wife's application. I then asked "Is my NC cleared?". She said "We don't usually do this, but let me have a look', and in a second or two, she told me that my NC was cleared. That's it. Good luck.
