I just catch up the last train for I-485 filing in July. Yesterday, my friend told me that the fishing fine($132.00) I got this year need to be reported in I-485.
I feel so bad hearing about this. It is not a big deal the fine itself, but
failing to report may cause trouble.
I am so anxious to know:
1, If I send a correction doc through lawyer, what should happen? Does IRS return the application back. If it would affect the EAD and AP?
- If you're lucky, it will be placed together with your application. Most likely anything submitted at a late time w/o RFE will be misplaced separately.
2, If i do not report, and waiting they ask, if they do ask, what consequence that would be? the worst scenario? If it cause deny the application?
- Your application will not be denied only because of it.
I have been waiting for this green card for 7 years. Every time to get a working visa is a nightmare, I really do not want to upside down from this small boat!
I would like to have Chinese friend who has such experience or have this knowledge told me what I should do before I asking my immigration lawyer for safety.
- No matter you do it or not, your I-485/AP/EAD will not be affected.
