proof to leave OR to backChina

Thank you very much. It's really not a good news. I should ask you earlier. I've booked my ticket already.

The immigration officer will let me show the proof that I'll be back to my home country (China) ONLY, OR a proof just no intent to stay in US, no matter where I'll go? I can prove that I'll leave US(I've applied CA immgration), but no proof of strong tie with China. Even if I said I'll back to China, they won't believe. Because my hu*****and will back to Canada.

Another question: Is it often that they'll let couples separate for long? Never give a visa to join?

I do appreciate your help.
