My parents got their visas in Shanghai on 5/17, the first day the U.S. consulate started collecting fingerprints (in Shanghai). The process was smooth and uneventful. Couple of basic questions about my background (i.e., education, location)and that was it. I am the only child and both of my parents are retired. In addition, most of the parents seeking B-2 got their visas issued, according to my parents. Thought I share the experience with others who may find it useful.
