We received a letter of Intent to Deny for my parents I-539 application for extension of B2 status, requesting a photocopy of returning air tickects to be submitted within 30 days. My parents originally planed to fly back to China in early January, and her 6-month I-94 has just expired while we were waiting for I-539. While we would like to stick with their original travel plan (change of travel itinerary incurs $400 airline panalty) we do not wish to jeopardize their future plan to visit States. My questions is
Does it worth it or make any difference if we change their air tickets to be leaving US with 30 days (the deadline for submiting response of the Intent to Deny)?
Thank you very much for your time and help,
intent to deny
