I finally got my I-485 receipt.

If you want to check your application status, try infopass. I tried yesterday and it was very helpful.

To go for infopass, what you need do is logging on USCIS.gov and set up an appointment first. Don't forget to print out the appointment confirmation. You need bring it with you when you go to the local office.
