You may still try. I am in the same boat and get GC.

If the staffing company provide your benefits, and the job don't have specific termination date. Then it will be considered as a "permenent" position. The staffing company assign you to do job for another company. Your employer is the staffing company.......I know a lot of people around me also get the GC in this situation.
