I called CBP and solved a similar problem.

I had a similar problem with my son I-94. This moring, I called the port where my son entered US and got the problem solved by an officer at that port. he just allowed me to make a correction on my son I-94 and told me that he fixed this problem. I don't know how he fixed it. Maybe you can call them.
