Sounds like your lawyer sucks (sorry to be frank). This is the time why you hired him in the first place.

Anyway, from what you described, you sounded "outstanding" to me (sorry I was in NIW not exactly the same category as you are, so can't copy my experience to). Why don't you list all their questions and people here might be able to help you to fight back.
