check title payable to US Department of Homeland Security

Sorry hit the wrong key just now and the message was not finished. Invite Pjiang, XBT, and Radiology for comments. 485 was sent on Jul 3rd to NSC. no receipt yet. But found the check title was "USCIS". Saw a message before saying it was OK. But called customer service and was told either use US citizenship and immigration services or US department of homeland security, no abbreviations. So sent new checks with the "correct" title on July 25 but was returned. Got the follwoing message:" the service center is unable to match this remittance to a specific petition/application. Yuor petition/application may have already been returned to you for lack of the required fee."
Almost broken. Was my package on the way being returned back to me due to the first check was not right? should I file again before 08/17? Please please calm my soul.
