EB2 change to EB3

My wife's company has filed an EB2 application for her. But on her labor certificate, the job requirement is Master degree or Bachelor plus 2 years' experience. We read that somewhere this will make this position ineligible for EB2, is this correct?
Can someone give us an idea if we can ask USCIS to change the existing application to EB3? if we change it to EB3, is there still a risk that this application could be denied?
