got letter from a few source for my wife said:
"the name check request for plaintiff XXX was received by the FBI from USCIS on or about August 9, 2004, and was completed on August 9, 2004.

actually recently at least two of my friend got I-485 approved within 1 AFTER judge denied MTD (before that, they always get response as NC pending).
From all sources seems they definitely can get anyone NC clear within 1 week IF THEY WANT. the problem is that you intend to finish those easy one (so they report more cases as done).
