XBT, Pjiang and other experts, I140 rfe and 485

I was ready to ted me and my hu*****and's 485 and got the rfe for my NIW 140, I think I will go ahead to ted my 485, since I am on H1, I should lose nothing but some money if I140 denied, the problem is my hu*****and, he will start his opt in August, if 140 denied, will he lose his opt status immediately and need to go back to China to get H4? if he get a job from non profit orgnization, will he need to go back to China to get his H1b, can he adjust his status inside USA? Thank you very much for your advice.
