Unexpected H1B extension approvaled today

I got my GC (EB3) 2 months ago, before that I filed I-129 for H1B extension last Feb.

Today I got this approval notice tell me the H1b extended 3 year.

Does USCIS not check theirs records to process any these cases? this is an useless processing.
