Further suggestion ...

I fully understand your concerns. According to your case, there is a great possibility that your attorney will be able to send your package prior to 08/17/07. However, I really heard some cases where the attorney did not sent their clients’ I-485 package prior to change of the VB.

My suggestion is that while you are waiting for your I-485 package to be prepared by your attorney, you should DIY I-485 package and make it ready. You can wait your attorney’s responses before 08/13/07 or 08/14/07 at the latest. If you still have not received your package from your attorney then, I should send your own prepared I-485 package on 08/15/07. You need to inform your attorney after you have sent your package.
