My 6th years H1B will be expired by the end of this July. I submitted H1B extension in April. At that time my I-140 was approved but couldn't file I-485 because the visa number was not available. But in June, I was able to file I-485. Now I had done finger print and I-485 and EAD are all pending. But still there is no news on my H1B extension case.
So I am confused about the current status for myself.
I know there is a 240 days grace period for H1B application, will this be applicable for me? If not, and by now, my EAD is not approved yet, am I still legal to work?
Please help me on this question.
