I read somewhere on the same forum, checks to
USCIS, DHS, INS, are cashed without problem.
I only did one E*file before getting my GC. I think E*file is easiest. I didn't mail any supporting document - nothing at all. Payment is also easier: use the reward credit card to pay less and about one months later, without having to know the exact name of the payee. The only problem with E*file is having to undergo a fingerprint appointme (not a problem for me, as ASC is in my backyard).
