Dear Friends,
We need action regarding the USCIS's refuse to accept I-485 adjustment of status filing during July 2007.
In a letter to Secretary of Homeland Security Chertoff, Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren, Chair of the House Immigration Subcommittee, said it best:
The Department’s unprecedented decision to reject adjustment of status applications has caused needless hardship and disruption to countless immigrants.
We cannot allow the USCIS or DHS to ignore Congress and take such actions with out considering the lives it will affect.

That's why Immigrants' List has created a petition to Secretary Chertoff, calling on him to comply with Congresswoman Lofgren's requests. We need to get 5,000 signatures on this petition now. We launched this campaign last night and already are almost 1/5 of the way there!
