As I know, whether you live in US or Canada, if you work on T/N visa, you have to file I-140 in 180 days after your LC approved. But after you file I-140, and you have to wait for I-485 retrogression date. You can't finish I-140 and I-485 in one year. When you renew your T/N, you will have a dual intent problem. Your T/N renewal might be rejected.
