what is RFE?

If the new employer has to sponsor my pending I485 case, just to be safe, that will be my biggest concern. Some employers don't even want to do that, not to mention sponsoring the whole green card process. That limits my options when looking for better opportunities.

But can my current employer legally cancel my I485 case? My I140 already got approved. So my understanding is that only I140 is sponsored by employer, I485 is my application and has nothing to do with the employer although they pay for it. Is this correct?
