transfer category of I-485?

When did you file your I-140? I did the same thing but still waiting for the appoval of I-140. I recently filed EB1-485 only. If my 140-NIW was approved earlier, I may need to file another 485-NIW. Does anyone know that the filed I-485 can be transfered into another category?
