簡單的: 用AP不影響H1B，when you return, you will get I94 stamped as AOS for one year, but that will not affect your H1B

You should have 2 or 3 AP now, for the first time use, they will take all but one, stamped (same as on I94, AOS for 1 yr) and give one back to you.

Bring with you your 485 pack, 140 notice or at least receipt (in this case your hu*****and's), H1B approval notice is not required, but won't hurt. And if possible, your employer's verification letter, again not required but might be useful. Last, bring with you your driver's lisence or other government issued ID with Picture.
