Just come back from infopass (Newark, NJ). Disappointed but well-anticipated, our cases are stuck with NC. After waiting for 2+ hours, we were sent back in 2 minutes. (EB2 PD 6/2002, BEC in PA, LC approved 3/2006, 485 filed 6/2006 with TSC, REF RD 10/2006, first PF 5/2007, no updates since 10/2006). According to the Korean-accent IO, our FP check is done, but NC is pending, especially with my hubby's NC since he has longer first name (is the length of name a factor? - sounds ridiculous). Then he gave us a whole bunch of paper, tellling us to fill out in case of changing address - just to push us out. Nothing further he can help..
Based on the "fact sheet" he passed to us, only 1% of applicants will be stuck with NC for over one year. Can't believe we are so out of luck again - after such a long desparate wait in BEC..
Just wish to ask those experienced: is it true if NC process is longer than 1 year, it'll be pending around 2-3 years? Anything we can do now to expedite the process a little bit? I know lots of people write to senators or first lady after NC pending over 2 years. Does it help if we write to them now?
Thank you!
