We moved two months ago. My hu*****and filed AR-11 for change of address for himself within ten days but failed to file for me and my son. He thought he only needed to update our address from his pending I-485 application, for which he was the primary applicant. He also told me he did all for us and I didn't need to do anything more.
Our I-485 finally got approved last week and he received his notices and card. However, my son and I received nothing even though our email notificatins show that all the actions on us were taken on the same dates. As soon as I realized his failure of filing AR-11 for me and my son, I filed AR-11s for us immediately.
But it seems too late. Our notices and cards should have been mailed out at the same time as my hu*****and's but they went to our old address. Since these letters cannot be forwarded, I don't know what trouble we'll have. Is there any penalty for us for failing to file AR-11 in time? or the INS could even revoke the approval of our cases?
So much worry, because we have been waiting so long... Many thanks for your input!!!
I-485 approved but got trouble about address...
