Be careful

I donot know if you are GC holder or other unimmigration visa--->F1. If former,transfer to another bank.

If the latter, be careful. Because some university's ISS (international Student services) becomes unfriendly when your average balance is too low and banking accounts is not holding too long. They may think you borrow the money from your friends. Therfore, some schools needs bank letter with average balance over six monthes. My friends borrows me some money and open new account and get free bank letter, but the school does not accept it and requires more proof. Doing doing so, it do nothing good to you.
