幾個新消息!

1. 凡是6月以前遞的485 仍會被處理和批準,但不會發生在八月以後.現在堵住485的提交,實際是更有利於手頭485的批準.
2. 移民局的確至今還有大量剩餘名額,雖然遠少於以前宣布的4萬.
3. 移民局先前計算名額的方法是進入處理程序(含NC),就為用掉一個或多個(家屬)名額,然而後來因為單個案件處理的積壓,拒絕而導致估計名額使用的誇大(實際是批準一個才用掉一個). 移民局今後將拋棄該估算方法.根據新的估算方法(提交數量和名額的比例),今年剩餘的名額肯定會在七月用完.
4.由於六月份征調大批其他案件的移民官來處理485, 並因此導致了其他案件,如工卡,AP的積壓.從八月起,由於485的暫停,預計其它案件的處理速度將會大幅度提升.
5.由於本周來自各方麵的壓力,包括申請者和律師協會的壓力,主要是法律起訴的壓力.移民局和國務院內部已經作出檢討.但兩個單位認為本周排期更新的行為是合乎移民製度,而且是有利於移民申請者的.對於個別的種族起訴,因為這次取消的是全世界的485申請,因此是不成立的.
6.7.2收到的申請將被退回沒有例外,這樣才能保持公平的原則.
