If your spouse will ever travel outside the U.S., she will also need Advance Parole. It is important to remember that if she starts working in the US once she has her EAD, and an emergency or pleasure to travel outside the US presents itself, she cannot return to the US on the H-4 status if she again wants to work in the U.S., but instead needs the Advance Parole document.
